Megan Juelfs-Swanson is a doctoral student in the Department of Sociology at the University of Virginia. She holds a B.A. in sociology and communication from Seattle Pacific University in Seattle, Washington. She is the research assistant for the Institute’s Culture of American Families project studying the home cultures that shape the next generation of American adults. Her dissertation uses the Culture of American Families data as a window on political culture in the United States. Before attending graduate school, she worked in the Academic Affairs office at Seattle Pacific University.
